Our Camp

Changa Safari Camp is perfectly situated to showcase a truly unique combination of Zimbabwe’s wildlife and landscapes.

Here, on the shores of Lake Kariba, the camp’s eight luxury tents blend beautifully into their untamed surrounds, each with spectacular views of the outstretched water and Matusadona mountains unfolding beyond. A truly immersive safari experience awaits.

Features & Amenities

Set among the shade of Mopane trees, the inviting swimming pool overlooking the lake, provides a great location for a poolside cocktail or an afternoon dip in the heat of the day.

The open-air lounge area is comfortably furnished with inviting leather chairs and sofas, shaded by a thatch roof with bursts of colour from the individually designed mosaic tiles. It is a lovely area where you can relax on your own, taking in the beautiful surroundings, or to socialize with others and share stories about your day. Wi-Fi is available in this area along with a central charging station. Our beautiful new Spa has quickly become popular with all our guests, offering massages, manicures and pedicures.

Luxury Accommodation

We have 6 standard tents which accommodate 2 people. The camp also has two sets of interconnecting family tents, which allow children to move freely between their tent and their parents’ in complete safety and privacy.

All tents are a classic safari olive canvas and have been mosquito proofed with specialised netting, allowing you to comfortably fall asleep with a gentle breeze and the distant call of the wild.

Each tent has been individually decorated with an East African influence.

Changa Safari Camp’s cuisine will certainly be a highlight of your stay. Using only fresh ingredients, the taste and presentation of each dish will leave you looking forward to the next meal. Breakfast and lunch are both served al fresco on the main elevated deck either under the shaded thatched open-air dining room or under the Zig-zag terminalia tree overlooking the private beach.

We serve an afternoon tea with a selection of teas, local coffee and a sweet treat. A candle-lit dinner will be served with the beat of the drum at 7.30pm at a different location each night of your stay.
