I spent an amazing vacation at Changa and the place blew me away. Changa beautifully blends with the environment giving you a sense of being one with nature. There was... read more lots to see, elephants, eland, zebra, bushbabies at the bar, a lone leopard and lots of birds. The days on the pool drinking those G&T with just a touch of pink...the nights by the fire after a hearty dinner... the beautiful sunset during the game drive, fishing on the Kariba and Sanyati gorge. Its definitely a place for all, families the solo traveler, the romantic and the first timer in the wild. Thanks to Claire and the team for creating everlasting memories for us.
I had read very good reviews about Changa Camp on Trip Advisor. I included this camp in my itinerary because my grandson Hunter, with whom I was traveling, wanted to... read more fish on Lake Kariba.
Nothing really prepared me for exactly how excellent this camp is.
The manager is superb and is involved with every aspect of the operation.
The location is divine and the camp itself is lovely, not super luxury, but exceedingly comfortable.
The food is delicious, one of the few places during a one month safari to very upmarket lodges where we were continually disappointed with the food.
Since most of our time was spent fishing, David was our primary guide and he was superb. He is an asset to the organization; he is charming, knowledgeable, and very kind and considerate.
I did a walking safari with another excellent guide (please forgive me that I cannot remember his name) who was also first class.
Game viewing will be greatly enhanced bu the introduction of animals by African Parks which was to commence the week after we left.
With that addition, this should be oil all traveler's lists who plan a safari in Zimbabwe.
Kudos to all of you and thank you for making our stay so memorable.

I cannot fault it. ... read more The staff are wonderful, the accommodation is amazing, (specially the outdoor bathroom), delicious food , spectacular pool with views and knowledgeable guides to take you on game drives and fishing or booze cruising. If you have never been to Changa you need to put it on your bucket list.

We spent a weekend in June 2021 and it was a much needed rest and recuperation break.
The outside sitting area outside our suite allowed me to watch hippos,... read more sunrise and sunset. The boat transfer was quite relaxing after the long drive from Harare. The Gorge cruise is a must and so is the regular sunset cruise.
The meals were fresh and you always looked forward to the next sitting - barbeque night was priceless.
The pool area was my other favourite spot, the day bed will lull to a much needed power nap.

The family tent accommodations were excellent - comfortable, clean and views to the lake that made you never want to sleep. The food was delicious and the chef was able to happily satisfy the vegan in our group. The team was so thoughtful to recognize my parent’s anniversary and mom’s birthday making them feel very special. The game drives and walks were unbelievable and we are still in awe of all that we saw. The boat trip to the Gorge was great fun with a sunset we will never forget. Every detail was covered - even coffee breaks out in the bush. We absolutely recommend this camp if you are heading to Zimbabwe! More
If you want to be right in the bush but also have the lake close by, then this is THE place to go. The whole stay was so very good... read more that i could say almost faultless. All staff were fantastic at their jobs. With such friendliness and humour and knowledge. Food was incredible and more than ample. The swimming pool was a welcomed blessing in the October heat and always remained very cool and refreshing. I would highly recommend Changa to anyone. I give it 5 stars. Although i wouldn't like to have taken small children. It's wild.

- tents set-up beautifully with so much love for details in their design, always clean, with big comfortable beds looking over the lake - what else do you need for a perfect holiday?
We were lucky to visit Changa with our daughter under a year a few times due to overseas family coming to see Zimbabwe. The Changa team made our stay always special and our daughter amazingly good cared for. We would always come back to show and enjoy the camp! Nothing we ever missed. More
We arrived on our houseboat the Conquest and spent 3 nights there the place was amazing and clean ,excellent service from every member of staff they had arranged Halal... read more meals from a source we know which was a plus so i would recommend to the muslim community also being in the Matusadona national park was a bonus on the game drive we saw a herd of elephants with there young babies a massive herd of baffalo of around 200 plus and then the epic was nearby a pride of 18 lions with the male lion sitting on a mound looking handsome staring at the Buffalo while the females with a few cubs eyeing out the next meal lots of impala
,water buck and baboons and monkeys aslo the the day before our departure around our tented 5 star room 5 massive elephants grazing on 3m away what an awesome time,the best is the peace and tranquility of no noise pollution i would like to say that i definitely will be back again thank you to all the staff from management to waiters and chef well done very affordable as well our stay and yes free laundry.

The rooms are amazing, you would never know you are in a tent. The food is incredible and you eat so many times a day its impossible to go hungry. The drinks at the bar or siting ny the pool, top notch! The safaris, on foot, by jeep or on the boat are mid boggling. The amount of wildlife in this area is just so vast and diverse!
Visiting Changa was the last stop on our first ever trip to Arica, something I have dreamt about since I was a little boy and everyone/everything at Changa exceeded expectations

The game drives were highly educational with the guide going out of his way to show all that was available with regard to game, trees and bird life.
