Changa’s unique and secluded setting opens many of Zimbabwe’s wild wonders. Eight luxury tents are set under sprawling Mopane woodland along Kariba’s shoreline and around a central pool, private beach and bar/dining area. With all this and endless views across the lake under the biggest, bluest skies, why be anywhere else?

Changa’s expert guides can’t wait to take you on a game drive or walking along an ancient elephant trail. Fishing in the secret good spots, lounging by the pool, sundowners on the floodplain or a sunset cruise, anyone? It’s all yours.

Very close to nature
Changa was the third stop on our Safaritour in Zimbabwe. We landed with a small Cessna on the airstrip and the wonderful three days started. After a warm welcome in the camp, we enjoyed the richness of the wildlife. A highlight was a big group of lions far away from the camp with babies that are suckled, and we had the luck to stay very long and very close to them. Dangerous animals and in between their group cuddly cats like ours at home in the house. We can highly recommend this camp and NP
Absolute serenity!
We had the pleasure of spending 3 restful days at Changa and thoroughly recommend it for its tranquillity, comfort and welcome. Enjoyed numerous activities including fishing, walking trails, game drives and boat trip to Sanyati Gorge (a must for close encounters with crocs and hippo). Ian, Lou, Crispin and the whole team made us most welcome. Delicious meals and don’t forget the cocktails!
Very good location close to the shore of Kariba Lake. Very comfortable.
I had a very comfortable tent at the end of the camp. The bed was softly and comfortable. The kitchen was very good. In the early morning you could hear the noise of the hippos nearby at the shore of the lake. The Camp managers were very friendly and took care of everything you need. The boat trips were exciting. The guide was well experienced with a good knowledge of the nature. I can recommend Changa Camp very strongly.
We love going back time and time again
Glamping at its best! Changa is a stunning safari camp perfect for couples. The luxurious tents are tastefully integrated into the natural surroundings and are very clean and comfortable. The service is personal and friendly. We had fantastic experiences with the wildlife (especially elephants in camp and lions on the game drive). I would highly recommend visiting 😊
Outstanding Safari Camp
Changa Safari Camp was one of our final safari stops in Zimbabwe and we were so happy that we had the privilege of staying here. The hosts, Ian and Lou, were wonderful and did everything in their power to make it a memorable visit. Our guide was fabulous, we saw numerous animals, and the staff could not have been more accommodating. The food was excellent.

Spectacular camp overlooking Kariba
This is a gorgeous safari camp on Lake Kariba. Meals are delicious and served overlooking the lake with elephants and many other animals grazing in view. There are very comfortable luxury tents with indoor and outdoor showers -so you can even watch the animals while you shower! The guides were fantastic and we saw lots of animals every day (we stayed three nights). Go on the boat ride to see hippos, crocodiles etc from the water while shipping a cocktail! Highly recommended !
Perfect Lake Kariba and Matusadona Combo
Changa Safari Camp is located on the shores of Lake Kariba, within Matusadona National Park. The rooms are permanent tented units that are very comfortable with lots of soft touches and plush furnishing, plus indoor and outdoor showers and tubs. The restaurant and pool area is perfect to relax, read a book or grab a cold drink. Elephants regularly wander through the camp, and the hippos and distant call of lions will serenade you at night.
